Special Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our SEN provision full-time. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic support to students with additional learning needs, focusing on literacy and numeracy.
- Foster life skills and independence in students, helping them develop essential skills for future success.
- Offer tailored interventions, including one-to-one and small group sessions, to meet the individual needs of students within the SEN base.
- Provide emotional and behavioural support, helping students manage their emotions and behaviour in a positive manner.
- Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and other staff to implement learning plans and ensure the best outcomes for students.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs. You will need to be:
- Patient, caring, and resilient, with the ability to stay calm and offer positive guidance to students in challenging situations.
- Experienced in special needs support, with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs.
- Committed to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, building strong relationships with students and fostering a secure atmosphere.
- Reliable and consistent, with the ability to commit to a full-time role from Monday to Friday during school hours, term-time only.
