Teaching Assistant for Additional Learning Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a mainstream classroom.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to provide essential care and support to help the pupil grow and develop. The ideal candidate will be able to foster a positive and encouraging environment, actively engaging with the pupil in every task to ensure they stay engaged and learn.
Responsibilities:- Work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in the mainstream classroom who has ALN
- Understand and engage with the pupil in every task, ensuring they stay engaged and learn
- Foster a positive and encouraging environment, actively supporting the growth and development of the pupil
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Hold a Child only DBS certificate registered on the Update System
- Provide 2 professional references covering 24 months
- Strong and resilient when facing challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date.
