About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our Surveillance and Communications business unit in Adelaide's defence precinct. As a key member of our hardware team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new VHDL firmware, maintaining current product lines, and collaborating with various engineering disciplines.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the engineering development lifecycle
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
  • Experience in Intel FPGA VHDL firmware development cycles
  • 3 plus years of experience with Modelsim/Questasim Advanced Simulator and TCL scripting
  • Hardware level debugging including tools such as SignalTap
  • Familiarisation with TCP/IP and network protocols
