Job Title: Principal/Lead Firmware Engineer

Job Summary:

Leonardo is seeking a highly skilled Principal/Lead Firmware Engineer to join our Electronics Function in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex firmware designs for Radars and Electro Optics Groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop firmware designs for Radars and Electro Optics Groups
  • Manage development activities through the project and engineering lifecycles
  • Deliver the final solution on time and within budget
  • Provide technical guidance for current and emerging FPGA design and verification techniques
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with a specialism in FPGA techniques
  • Strong understanding of firmware design and development principles
  • Experience with VHDL, SystemVerilog, and UVM
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
