About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sustainability Expert to join our team in West Cumbria. As a key member of our HSEQ team, you will play a vital role in implementing our integrated business management system, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring operational managers and personnel have the necessary technical competence to work safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing the integrated business management system
  • Identifying and minimising the risk of accidents
  • Working with the QHSE team to develop key business improvements
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of legislation and codes of practice applicable to our business
  • Ensuring operational managers and personnel have the appropriate technical competence to work safely

Requirements:

  • An understanding of Facilities Management
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
  • Environmental waste management qualification or equivalent
  • Possess detailed knowledge of risk assessment and auditing (ISO 45001)
  • A career background in nuclear, pharmaceutical or chemical or regulated industries would be advantageous
