Parkinson's Disease Specialist Nurse, Band 7 up to 24 hours per week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to join the Neurology Service to continue to develop and deliver a specialist service for patients with Parkinson’s disease across North Cumbria.

The post holder will offer expert advice and information to people with Parkinson’s in order to facilitate and support self-management of their condition. They will act as an expert resource for other health professionals working with people with Parkinson’s and take a lead role in the holistic assessment of patients.

The service operates within a clinic environment or within patient’s homes, care homes and inpatient settings across North Cumbria. The successful applicant will work with other Parkinson’s nurses, managing their own caseload of patients and provide a link in the care of people with PD between acute and community services.

We are looking for a forward-thinking Band 7 with a strong interest in Parkinson’s and Neurology and experience in managing patients across community and acute settings.
