Job Title: Deputy Manager - Residential Childcare
Location: Locks Heath
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000, with added benefits for night shifts and sleep-ins
Reports to: Registered Manager

About the Client:

Our client is a leading provider of residential childcare services, committed to supporting children and young people with learning disabilities. They are dedicated to delivering high-quality care and creating a safe, supportive environment for their residents. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the home, working closely with the Registered Manager to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in the overall management of the home, including staff supervision and training
  • Develop and implement care plans for residents, in collaboration with the Registered Manager and other relevant professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Provide support and guidance to staff, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, making recommendations for improvement as necessary

Requirements:

  • Experience in residential childcare or a related field
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, staff, and external partners
  • Ability to work flexibly, including night shifts and sleep-ins, as required
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality care and promoting the well-being of children and young people with learning disabilities
