Job Title: Deputy Manager - Residential Childcare

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Joneshouse Recruitment Ltd. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in leading and motivating a dedicated team to deliver outstanding care to children and young people with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the Registered Manager in leading and motivating a dedicated team to deliver outstanding care.
* Deputize in their absence and manage the day-to-day operations of the home.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people, taking joint responsibility for safeguarding.
* Ensure the home complies with The Children's Homes England Regulations 2015 and exceeds Quality Standards, adhering to all relevant legislation.
* Assist in recruitment, induction, performance management, and the professional development of staff.
* Provide leadership and guidance during shifts.
* Regularly monitor the home's performance, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, and driving continuous improvement.
* Work directly with young people, supporting their development and building strong relationships with families and external stakeholders.
* Provide additional support to children in crisis or stressful situations, maintaining a stable and caring environment.

Requirements:

* Ideally, you are working towards or hold a Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare.
* Proven experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities and challenging behavior.
* Leadership experience is essential.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and external agencies.
* You are enthusiastic, diligent, and passionate about delivering high-quality care to children.
* A Full UK Driving License is required.
