Salary Information

The salary for this position ranges from £79,300pa to c.£99,150pa, depending on skills and experience. In addition, a flexible benefits fund of 20% is paid on top of the base salary, which is fully pensionable, along with a range of competitive benefits.

Job Description

This role involves leading the development and management of a risk-based assurance programme for HS2's corporate controls environment and operational assurance activity across the project. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing a risk-based and proportionate corporate and operational assurance regime that provides confidence, adds value to stakeholders, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining the corporate assurance process, providing leadership and coordination of operational assurance activity, and ensuring the HS2 Railway integrates and operates as required.
  • Acting as a professional head of operational and corporate assurance, advising the company on related assurance matters, training, and upskilling the business in assurance practices.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

  • Experience integrating operational assurance activity across multiple delivery functions in the rail, transport, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Management skills, working on multiple activities simultaneously, prioritising critical tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Professional assurance qualifications or equivalent.
