Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annumJob Description:

The successful candidate will oversee the organization's governance framework, ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements. This role involves guiding the board and committees on their responsibilities, managing information flows, and maintaining governance documents.

This includes providing Governance Guidance to the chair and board on their responsibilities under governance documents and regulations, as well as ensuring Information Flow within the board and its committees and between senior management and non-executive directors.

The Director of Corporate Governance and Compliance will also be responsible for developing and overseeing Compliance Systems to ensure legal and statutory compliance, monitoring legislative changes, and taking action as necessary.

In addition, they will ensure that all governing documents are up-to-date and reviewed, and have experience with SharePoint and working with board minutes and committee meetings.

Key skills required for this role include a strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance, as well as experience with Institute of Governance qualifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Strong governance expertise with a proven track record in corporate governance and compliance.
  2. Experience with governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
  3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex governance concepts to stakeholders.
