About the Role

VolkerWessels UK Ltd is a leading provider of highways and street lighting maintenance contracts. We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team and support our business units in delivering high-quality services to our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day HR support to employees and managers, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies. This will include providing tactical advice and support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle and employee relations matters.

The HR Business Partner will also support the Head of HR and the wider HR team in delivering business-related projects and strategic HR Transformation projects across the business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR support to employees and managers, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies
  • Provide tactical advice and support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle and employee relations matters
  • Support the Head of HR and the wider HR team in delivering business-related projects and strategic HR Transformation projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives
Requirements
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practice HR policy and practice
  • Resourcing and workforce planning experience
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of data analysis and reporting
  • Good IT knowledge and understanding, including intermediate or advanced Excel
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Mid-to-senior level experience as an HR practitioner
  • Proven track record of handling complex employee relations issues and casework
