About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for championing a Continuous Improvement mentality across our Stockport and Frome manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with all teams within both sites to identify and share best practices, looking for improvements to increase yield or identify savings.
  • Coach the team on CI philosophies, facilitating project teams and ensuring process owner involvement in project identification and execution.
  • Provide leadership to the teams through goal setting, follow-up, and feedback, and assessing and driving team members to develop them.
  • Work closely with Plant Managers in any strategic initiative that will help in compliance to standards, implementing new systems, and designing creative solutions to continuously improve the plant.
  • Oversee both plants in Stockport and Frome, with some travel required (approximately 25%).

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or experience as a Lean Implementer.
  • Must be able to give examples of implementing continuous improvement.
  • Previous experience working in manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Degree qualified in Engineering.
  • Worked within an Operational Management or Quality Management role in the past.
