About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Improvement Manager to join our team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the provision and stabilisation of our current displaced outpatient activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the operational management of the current displaced outpatient activity, working closely with outpatient and divisional teams to maintain outpatient activity and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to deliver outpatient services, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Manage the redevelopment and move to the new outpatient building, working closely with outpatient and divisional teams to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Develop and maintain plans to ensure timescales are met, and targets and milestones are delivered on time.
  • Support the development of key performance indicators and monitoring systems to ensure utilisation of outpatients is maximised and support the delivery of outpatient activity.
Person Specification
  • Experience of managing outpatients services and associated processes.
  • Proven track record of operational management.
  • Practical experience in change management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in multi-disciplinary cross-divisional environments.
  • Highly developed negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to overcome barriers to understanding and acceptance.
