About the Role

Croydon Council is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Systems Specialist to join our Strategic Procurement and Governance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic procurement systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our procurement function.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of procurement systems functionality, including P2P and strategic procurement systems. You will also have experience in change management and project management within a system development and implementation context. Public sector procurement experience is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic procurement systems to improve planning and tracking of procurements, support contract management activities, and enhance e-tendering systems.
  • Design and develop dashboards to capture procurement and purchasing performance information from multiple system sources, enabling individual directorates to review their performance and compliance, as well as reporting at a corporate level.
  • Establish system controls to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Continuously improve the functionality of the e-tendering system to support the strategic procurement process.
  • Develop and enhance Oracle Fusion (or equivalent) system functionality to improve the purchase-to-pay process.
