Our Vision:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Design Technology teacher to join our dynamic department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in igniting a passion for design and problem-solving in students, equipping them with valuable technical skills and fostering creative thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize delivering and evaluating engaging and stimulating Design Technology lessons across the curriculum, catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11), aligning with the National Curriculum.
  • Cultivate diverse teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, ensuring all students can develop their design and practical skills effectively, including planning, construction using various materials and tools.
  • Encourage creativity and problem-solving skills, fostering a culture of experimentation and innovation in the design process.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Design Technology curriculum, ensuring it aligns with our school's vision, national requirements, and the latest advancements in design education (e.g., integrating technology and sustainability principles).

  • A qualified Design Technology teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students and developing their design and practical skills.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of design and problem-solving in students of all abilities.
  • Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment in the workshop.

Benefits:
