Wayman Learning Trust is seeking a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join their thriving DT department on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, a strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Design & Technology, and a proven track record of successful teaching and learning outcomes in DT.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire creativity and problem-solving in young people, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to design and create innovative solutions for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and hands-on Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on your specialism and experience.
  • Foster a love of design and technology in students, encouraging them to explore a variety of materials, techniques, and technologies.
  • Create a dynamic and collaborative workshop environment where students feel safe to experiment, innovate, and develop their design and making skills.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of an innovative DT curriculum that reflects current trends and best practices.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their design and technological development.
