We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cardiology Specialist.

This is a 12-month secondment post, currently 37 hours p/week (0.99WTE), within the Bristol Heart Institute. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of both arrhythmia and ICCs, an awareness of genetics and inheritance, good understanding of ECGs, and hold relevant post graduate education and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Function as a patient's advocate, to negotiate and mediate with the healthcare system to ensure optimum care to patients
  • Provide clear clinical advice and/or reassurance to patients, carers and family members who seek guidance via the telephone or email helpline service
  • Give written and verbal teaching to patients, carers and family members, making reasonable adjustments where required
  • Maintain effective communication and relationships with the clinical and non-clinical members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Work closely with electrophysiology doctors, ICC doctors and cardiac physiologists to ensure that patient care is prioritised and delivered in a timely manner
