An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to join the cardiology pathway in the critical care, cardiac and surgery team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
Job DescriptionAs a senior physiotherapist and cardiology pathway lead, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a high-quality physiotherapy service to patients across the cardiology pathway. This includes working closely with the pathway leads and clinical specialist to evaluate patient services and develop plans for service provision.
You will also take a major role in the advanced assessment and treatment of patients with complex and chronic presentations, determining clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment indicated, and maintaining records as an autonomous practitioner.
In this role, you will work and lead in an integrated therapy team, managing both physiotherapy and occupational therapy staff. You will provide highly specialist advice and training to physiotherapists, students, and other healthcare professionals in your specialty.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires significant experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and multidisciplinary team at a senior level. You will need to have in-depth clinical knowledge in your chosen field, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including a comprehensive pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
Requirements- Degree or diploma in physiotherapy
- Health Professions Council registered
- Experience of relevant cardiology experience
- A variety of experience in acute core areas, as postgraduate physiotherapist i.e. T&O, musculoskeletal, respiratory & neurological, dealing with a wide range of patients with differing needs
- Evidence of continuing professional development
