Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Physiotherapy Specialist to join our Cardiology Pathway team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires advanced clinical skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide specialist physiotherapy services to patients across the cardiology pathway.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of physiotherapy services in the cardiology pathway, working closely with clinical specialists and pathway leads to ensure seamless service provision.
  • Conduct advanced assessments and treatments of patients with complex presentations, determining clinical diagnosis and developing evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records as an autonomous practitioner, providing high-quality documentation and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide specialist advice and training to physiotherapists, students, and other healthcare professionals within the speciality.
  • Participate in the integrated therapy team, leading and managing both physiotherapy and occupational therapy staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced clinical skills and experience in physiotherapy, particularly in the cardiology speciality.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
