Lead Positive Behavioural Support Practitioner - Excellence in Care

A leadership opportunity to excel.

We are seeking a seasoned Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) practitioner to lead our team. As a PBS practitioner, you will spearhead efforts to support young people and adults with learning disabilities, Autism, and sometimes other support needs, fostering a culture of excellence in care.

By leveraging evidence-based techniques grounded in the principles of inclusion, choice, and participation, your leadership will inspire teams to deliver transformational support, empowering individuals to overcome challenges and thrive.

About the Role

You will work in close collaboration with young people (16+) and adults to provide expert support that substantially improves their quality of life and minimises the risk of unnecessary admissions to a General Adolescent Unit.

  • Your support will enable the individuals you work with to remain in their preferred placements and participate fully in their communities.
  • You will dedicate time to understanding the unique experiences of each person you support, equipping them with essential tools for independent living and self-advocacy.
  • You'll also provide guidance to their families, carers, and other professionals to implement and sustain these strategies for lasting impact.
  • As a leader, you will oversee PBS Practitioners, offering mentorship and coaching to ensure seamless implementation of PBS plans and promote a culture of excellence within the team.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Positive Behaviour Support practitioner accreditation - BTEC level 4 or equivalent - encompassing clinical, theoretical, and practice aspects.
  • A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and a willingness to travel across the region.
What We Offer

We offer an impressive array of benefits, including:

  • Care Friends: our employee referral and reward platform.
  • Wagestream: an app providing access to a portion of your earnings as you receive them, alongside coaching, vouchers, discounts, cashback, and more.
  • Blue light card: we reimburse your Blue Light Card membership, offering discounts at your favourite stores and restaurants.
  • Simply Health: fully funded health cash plans granting you access to a 24-hour GP, reimbursement for prescriptions, dental treatment, opticians, and additional health benefits.
  • Vivup: spread the cost of home and electronic items, or a bike to commute to work through fixed salary deductions throughout the year.
  • Annual leave buying and selling: transfer windows open twice annually.
  • Pension and Life Assurance: you'll be enrolled in our Scottish Widows pension scheme and Life Assurance scheme.

The estimated salary for this position ranges from £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, based on experience. This includes a competitive salary, an excellent benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead by example, drive excellence in care, and make a profound impact on the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and Autism. If you are a motivated leader dedicated to delivering outstanding support and championing positive change, we would love to hear from you.

We're a Disability Confident employer and welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. Together, let's unlock new possibilities and create a brighter future for all.
