Medical Administration Specialist

As a Medical Administration Specialist with NHS Ayrshire and Arran, you will provide vital clerical support to clinicians across the division. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient case records, managing out-patient appointment systems, and facilitating equitable access to specialties.
This role requires excellent communication skills, diplomacy, and sensitivity when dealing with patients, staff, and the general public. You should possess SVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent qualification/experience, along with experience working within an administrative environment.
Salary: Estimated £22,449 - £28,110 per annum (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient case records
- Manage out-patient appointment systems and waiting lists
- Facilitate equitable access to specialties
- Provide reception services and answer telephones
Requirements:
- Skill level: SVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent qualification/experience
- Experience: Working within an administrative environment
- Certifications: ECDL or equivalent (desirable)
