Exciting Opportunity for a Deputy Manager

We are seeking a caring and passionate Deputy Manager to join our Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs in Carmarthen.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours a week, with a competitive salary of £26,000 - £27,000. The role involves managing the service, planning rotas, and ensuring compliance. You will also be responsible for supporting individuals to make their own choices, ensuring their safety, and participating in activities such as arts, crafts, and day trips.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
  • Planning rotas, management of staff teams, and ensuring compliance within the service.
  • Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices.
  • Ensuring the safety of the service users.
  • Following care plans for each individual.
  • Taking service users out into the community.
  • Participating in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
  • Varying levels of personal care.
Requirements
  • NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3.
  • Senior Support Worker Experience.
  • Must be resilient.
  • Drivers ESSENTIAL due to the nature of the role.
  • Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
