Deputy Service Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs in Carmarthen.
About the RoleAs a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Service Manager and having joint responsibility for managing the team and the service. You will plan rotas, manage staff teams, ensure compliance within the service, and encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of the service users, following care plans for each individual, taking service users out into the community, and participating in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Service Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
- Plan rotas and manage staff teams.
- Ensure compliance within the service.
- Encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices.
- Ensure the safety of the service users.
- Follow care plans for each individual.
- Take service users out into the community.
- Participate in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
- NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3.
- Senior Support Worker Experience.
- Must be resilient.
- Drivers ESSENTIAL due to the nature of the role.
- Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
- Competitive salary of £26,000 - £27,000.
- Full-time 40 hours a week.
- Permanent contract.
- Monday-Friday with one weekend day shift every 4 weeks (Sat or Sun).
- Location: Carmarthen.
