This exciting opportunity will involve partnering with Hammersmith & Fulham Council, fostering recruitment hub enquiry officers, and working on a remote basis with occasional office days.

About the Role:
  • We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, able to handle public queries about fostering, provide detailed information, and guide prospective carers through their journey.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating fostering recruitment events across West London, engaging and inspiring communities, and building awareness among diverse community groups.
  • This role requires a dynamic and personable individual who can work effectively under pressure, managing deadlines and seeing projects through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Enquiry Management: Handle public queries about fostering by phone, face-to-face, and digitally, providing detailed information and guiding prospective carers through their journey.
  2. Event Coordination: Organise and facilitate fostering recruitment events across West London to engage and inspire communities.
  3. Recruitment Campaigns: Collaborate with fostering teams, marketing officers, and local partners to design and implement targeted strategies.
  4. Community Engagement: Build awareness by connecting with diverse community groups, raising the profile of fostering services, and generating interest.
  5. Administrative Excellence: Maintain and manage databases of foster carer applicants, track progress, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
Working Arrangements:

Flexibility is at the heart of this role, with expected office working hours at least twice a month or as required to meet service needs. Evening work may also be necessary to accommodate events and service requirements.

Our ideal candidate will have experience engaging with the public and diverse community groups, ideally in fostering or children's services, and a strong understanding of fostering regulations, safeguarding policies, and the challenges facing children in care.

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, based on a full-time contract, and the opportunity to shape the future of fostering through a ground-breaking project.
