Purchasing Support Specialist

Pirelli, a global tyre manufacturing leader, seeks a skilled Purchasing Assistant to join its UK operations. As part of a small, disciplined team, this 12-month placement offers the opportunity to develop expertise in purchasing activities, invoicing, and supplier management.
Main duties include:
- Regularly reporting on purchasing activities and assisting with invoicing queries and pricing corrections
- Providing support during supplier audits and maintaining accurate records of new and existing suppliers
- Responding to requests for information from line management, purchasing colleagues in Milan, and suppliers
- Supporting the team with administration tasks and contributing to the revision and improvement of purchasing documentation and procedures
- Taking responsibility for a work-based project
Key requirements include:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and good keyboard skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills and ability to liaise with people at all levels in the organisation
- Flexibility and analytical skills
- Valid work experience is beneficial, and a full clean driving licence is desirable
- A business-related degree is essential
The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
