About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Specialist to join our valued clinical care team at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to babies, children, and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for children and young people in partnership with them and their parents/guardians.
  • Provide excellent short break, palliative, and end-of-life care in a family-centered environment, in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure all procedures are carried out in accordance with local and national policies in force within the hospice.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Requirements
  • Qualified RSCN (Child Branch)/RNLD with post-registration experience, relevant placement experience, or pre-nurse training care experience.
  • Experience working with babies, children, and/or young people (0-25 years) with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate high standards of clinical care.
  • Palliative care experience is desirable, but specialist training and development opportunities will be provided.
