Support Worker for SEN Students

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. As a Support Worker for SEN Students, you will work with secondary school-aged children (11-19) who have complex Autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and behaviours that can challenge.
The successful candidate will have experience working with SEN in either an employed or voluntary capacity. A recognised qualification at Level 2 or above in Support Work for Teaching and Learning in Schools is desirable. GCSE Maths and English at Level 2/C or equivalent are also required.
In this role, you will assist with classroom management and help to create a positive learning environment. You will collaborate with teachers and other professionals to deliver effective education plans. Adapting teaching methods and resources to suit each student's needs is also essential.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £21,000 - £23,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include free training, pension, life assurance, health plan, high street discounts, and opportunities for continuous professional development.
