Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking pharmacist to lead the Planned Medicine team on a fixed-term basis (12 months). The Principal Pharmacist for Planned Medicine is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy service to the following outpatient specialties: Allergy, Immunology, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Diabetes and Endocrine.
The role involves leading a team of specialist pharmacists to develop the pharmacy services to optimise patient care, implement national guidance, ensure the infrastructure is in place for safe prescribing and monitoring of specialist drugs, drive quality improvement and implement cost-saving plans.
This is an excellent opportunity for networking and developing treatment pathways with colleagues across South East London.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or Pharmacy Practice, experience of supervising others, including for research and audit projects, ability to identify and manage risks, and excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £75,000 per annum, based on the location and job requirements.
