Job Summary

We're seeking a highly experienced and qualified data protection and privacy lawyer to work on a freelance basis with our team of knowledge development lawyers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in advising corporate entities on data protection and privacy matters, with a minimum of three years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and update Lexology PRO's UK and/or EU data protection and privacy practical resources to ensure they remain accurate and current.
  • Liaise closely with the Lexology PRO team and adhere to agreed timeframes for production of content.

Requirements

  • Lawyer qualified in England and Wales (solicitor or barrister) and/or the EU with at least three years' recent experience advising on data privacy matters.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the law and market practice in the area of data protection and privacy.
  • Good understanding of legal workflows and the practical needs of in-house lawyers, as well as private practice and the legal market generally.
  • Excellent written English with a clear, succinct style.
  • Demonstrable experience in writing practical legal content that is concise and easy to digest.
  • Self-motivated and able to effectively manage own time to ensure work completed efficiently and to agreed timescales.
