About the Role

Globe Business Media Group is seeking a skilled Freelance Data Protection and Privacy Specialist to join our team on a freelance basis. As a key member of our Editorial & Content team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and updating our Lexology PRO data protection practical resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and update Lexology Pro UK commercial practical resources to ensure relevant legislation, case law, regulation, and guidance is updated and referenced appropriately and accurately.
  • Liaise closely with the Lexology PRO team and adhere to agreed timeframes for production of content.
Requirements
  • Lawyer qualified in England and Wales (solicitor or barrister) and/or the EU with at least three years' recent experience advising on data privacy matters.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the law and market practice in the area of data protection and privacy.
  • Good understanding of legal workflows and the practical needs of in-house lawyers, private practice, and the legal market generally.
  • Excellent written English with a clear, succinct style.
  • Demonstrable experience in writing practical legal content that is concise and easy to digest.
  • Self-motivated and able to effectively manage own time to ensure work completed efficiently and to agreed timescales.
