About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Data Protection and Privacy Lawyer to join our team at Globe Business Media Group. As a Freelance Data Protection and Privacy Lawyer, you will be responsible for reviewing and updating our Lexology PRO data protection practical resources to ensure they remain accurate and current.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and update Lexology PRO's UK and/or EU data protection and privacy practical resources to ensure relevant legislation, case law, regulation, and guidance is updated and referenced appropriately and accurately.
  • Liaise closely with the Lexology PRO team and adhere to agreed timeframes for production of content.
Requirements
  • Lawyer qualified in England and Wales (solicitor or barrister) and/or the EU with at least three years' recent experience advising on data privacy matters, either in private practice or in-house.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the law and market practice in the area of data protection and privacy.
  • Good understanding of legal workflows and the practical needs of (in particular) in-house lawyers, as well as private practice and the legal market generally.
  • Excellent written English with a clear, succinct style.
  • Demonstrable experience in writing practical legal content that is concise and easy to digest.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to effectively manage own time to ensure work completed efficiently and to agreed timescales.
