Freelance Data Protection and Privacy Lawyer

We are seeking a talented and experienced data protection lawyer to join our team on a freelance basis. This role will involve providing expert support in maintaining and updating our comprehensive data protection resources for Lexology PRO, a leading platform for legal professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly review and update existing data protection practical resources, ensuring accuracy and currency of information regarding legislation, case law, regulations, and guidance.
  • Collaborate closely with the Lexology PRO team to adhere to agreed-upon deadlines and production schedules.
Requirements
  • Qualified lawyer in England and Wales (solicitor or barrister) and/or the EU, with a minimum of three years of experience advising on data privacy matters, either in private practice or in-house.
  • In-depth knowledge of data protection law and market practices within both the UK and EU jurisdictions.
  • Strong understanding of legal workflows and the practical needs of legal professionals, particularly in-house counsel.
  • Excellent written English skills with a clear, concise, and engaging writing style.
  • Proven ability to produce practical legal content that is easily digestible and informative.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
