Job Summary

We're seeking a Freelance Data Protection and Privacy Lawyer who has experience advising corporate entities on data protection and privacy matters. The successful candidate will have at least three years of experience in this field and will be responsible for reviewing and updating our data protection practical resources to ensure they remain accurate and current.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and update our data protection practical resources to ensure they reflect the latest legislation, case law, and guidance.
  • Liaise closely with our team to ensure timely production of content.
  • Update Lexology PRO's UK and/or EU data protection and privacy practical resources.

Requirements

  • Lawyer qualified in England and Wales (solicitor or barrister) and/or the EU with at least three years' recent experience advising on data privacy matters.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the law and market practice in the area of data protection and privacy.
  • Good understanding of legal workflows and the practical needs of in-house lawyers, private practice, and the legal market.
  • Excellent written English with a clear, succinct style.
  • Demonstrable experience in writing practical legal content that is concise and easy to digest.
  • Self-motivated and able to effectively manage own time to ensure work completed efficiently and to agreed timescales.
