Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and compassionate Activity and Support Assistant to join our team at Murrayfield Care Home in Edmonton. As an Activity and Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by planning and delivering engaging activities, providing personal care, and promoting a sense of community.
Key Responsibilities- To build meaningful relationships with our residents, understanding their interests and preferences to create a tailored activity program.
- To deliver exceptional personal and psychological care to all residents, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.
- To maintain effective communication with the management team, senior caregivers, chef, and relatives to ensure seamless operation and high levels of cooperation.
- To complete accurate and detailed records, agreeing on record-keeping standards with the manager on a monthly basis.
- To uphold confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- To plan and coordinate daytime and evening activities, considering the needs and interests of our residents.
- To maintain awareness of health and safety requirements, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.
- To collaborate with other services within the facility to create a comprehensive activity program, including coordinating with external providers as needed.
- To document resident participation and outcomes, creating resident profiles that capture their hobbies and interests.
