Operational Leader in Acute Healthcare

Job Overview
The North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Operational Leader to join our team as General Manager. This is a key position in the general management structure, providing support to the Divisional Director and other senior leaders.
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the operational leadership, delivery, and performance of services within the division. You will work closely with the Divisional Director of Operations to ensure that services are delivered in line with expected objectives, policies, and governance processes.
Main Responsibilities
- To lead the operational management of all services within the division, working closely with the Divisional Director and other senior leaders.
- Develop and implement business plans to drive service improvement and deliver national and local performance targets.
- Monitor activity against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and national access targets, implementing corrective action where necessary.
- Provide leadership and direction for the division, ensuring that it supports the Trust's strategic vision for high-quality patient-centred care and excellence in education and research.

Essential Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience.

- Recent substantial senior management experience in an NHS acute setting or equivalent.
- Strategic planning and project management experience, managing large and complex budgets.
- Significant acute operational management experience in a complex healthcare organisation.
