Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the cargo sales and operations team to achieve corporate goals and services levels in the assigned countries. This includes developing and implementing appropriate cargo sales strategies, leveraging a network of cargo agents, freight forwarders, and air cargo industry professionals to maximize Oman Air Cargo's presence and position in the market.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably business studies, with 8 years of relevant experience in cargo sales or a related field. Strong negotiation, management, and analytical skills are essential, as well as proficiency in English and Microsoft Office. The ability to travel on short notice is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cargo sales strategies to achieve corporate goals and services levels.
  • Leverage a network of cargo agents, freight forwarders, and air cargo industry professionals to maximize Oman Air Cargo's presence and position in the market.
  • Lead and manage the cargo sales and operations team to ensure smooth coordination efforts.
  • Analyze and report on monthly cargo revenue results, making recommendations and driving actions to appointed cargo GSA's, HQ cargo sales support, and head of cargo.
  • Monitor sales performance and services levels, taking remedial action if necessary in consultation with head of cargo supported by HQ cargo sales support team.
  • Establish and manage key accounts sales program for selected top cargo customers to leverage their cargo volumes and maximize sales and revenues.
  • Participate in the preparation of cargo marketing/business plan and allocate responsibilities for the attainment of cargo marketing goals and services levels.
  • Recommend cargo rate tariff structure to ensure optimized yield and maximize revenue actively participating with HQ cargo pricing & capacity team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably business studies, with 8 years of relevant experience in cargo sales or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation, management, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel on short notice.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum.
