Mental Health Assistant - Aspiring Psychologist

This role offers a unique opportunity to join a specialist school providing therapeutic support to children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, developing and implementing strategies to support individual children's needs.

About the School
Our school provides a nurturing and supportive environment for children aged 4-11 who require additional support due to their complex needs. We are committed to delivering high-quality education and care, ensuring that every child achieves their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide emotional and social support to children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs
* Collaborate with trained therapists and psychologists to develop and implement strategies to support individual children's needs
* Support the planning and delivery of lessons and activities to promote positive relationships and learning
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and collaboration

Requirements
* A degree in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology (or related field)
* Experience working with children with Complex Needs and/or adults with SEN or SEMH (desirable)
* Level 3 qualifications+ (e.g. Diploma or NVQ)
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

What We Offer
* Competitive daily rate: £85-£95 per day (£3000-£3450 per month)
* Full-time Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4pm
