About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development to join our team at the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce and driving strategic initiatives to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the HR and OD function, ensuring alignment with the Trust's corporate aims and objectives.
  • Remuneration and Reward: Support the development of remuneration and reward strategies that align with NHS policy and support the operational and financial priorities of the Trust.
  • Equality and Inclusion: Collaborate with the Head of Well-Being and Inclusion to deliver the Trust's equality and inclusion strategy, ensuring best practice is applied across the workforce agenda.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement effective change management processes and measures to support the management of staff as part of clinical and operational programmes.
  • Business Development: Provide a strategic HR perspective on business development and planning, ensuring national and local NHS policy, initiatives, and changes to terms and conditions are implemented appropriately.
  • Recruitment and Retention: Support the development and implementation of a Recruitment & Retention Strategy to ensure the Trust can attract and retain the best talent to deliver high-quality patient care.
