About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Tokamak Energy, a leading global commercial fusion energy company. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and operation of systems and technology that bring commercial fusion energy closer to realization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed system requirements, specifications, and verification plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the development of system architecture models to meet project requirements, working with multiple stakeholders to apply systems thinking.
  • Ensure that all systems adhere to safety regulations and protocols, guaranteeing the safety of personnel and equipment.
  • Decompose system requirements into functions, develop functional decomposition diagrams, and capture functional requirements for systems and sub-systems.
  • Maintain documentation relating to system designs, processes, and procedures, ensuring project technical leaders have the materials they need for technical decision making.
Requirements
  • Degree level in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in systems engineering, preferably in the energy or nuclear field.
  • Understanding of the characteristics of good quality requirements and traceability.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle processes and tailoring of processes to optimize project performance.
  • Knowledge of verification & validation planning activities.
  • Proficiency in MBSE principles and tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect, Cameo) is highly desirable.
