We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Tokamak Energy, a leading global commercial fusion energy company. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and operation of systems and technology that bring commercial fusion energy closer to realization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain detailed system requirements, specifications, and verification plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Lead the development of system architecture models to meet project requirements, applying systems thinking and best practices.
- Ensure safety compliance and adherence to regulations, guiding efforts to guarantee the safety of personnel and equipment.
- Decompose system requirements into functions, develop functional decomposition diagrams, and capture functional requirements for systems and sub-systems.
- Maintain documentation relating to system designs, processes, and procedures, ensuring project technical leaders have the materials they need for technical decision making.
- Degree level in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in systems engineering, preferably in the energy or nuclear field.
- Understanding of good quality requirements and traceability.
- Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle processes and tailoring of processes to optimize project performance.
- Knowledge of verification & validation planning activities.
- Proficiency in MBSE principles and tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect, Cameo) is highly desirable.
- Experience of tailoring systems engineering processes and coaching others in their application.
- Knowledge of fusion energy principles and technologies is desirable.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols related to energy systems is a plus.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Salary dependent on skills and experience and will be discussed from the outset.
