Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Medicine Specialist to join our team at the Ministry of Defence - Royal Navy. As a Medical Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our personnel, while also providing expert medical advice to support the delivery of our occupational health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical oversight and guidance to support the delivery of occupational health services
  • Conduct medical assessments and evaluations to determine fitness for duty and identify potential health risks
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a healthy and safe working environment
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of occupational health services
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices to inform your work
Requirements
  • Registered medical practitioner on the GMC Specialist Register in Occupational Medicine
  • Proven experience in occupational medicine, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of occupational health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex medical data and develop effective solutions
