We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Medicine Specialist to join our team at the Ministry of Defence - Royal Navy. As a Medical Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our personnel, while also providing expert advice on occupational health matters.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical oversight and guidance on occupational health matters, including fitness for service and medical assessments.
- Work closely with the Recruitment and Attraction team to ensure effective and efficient medical assessments.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to occupational health, in line with GMC guidelines.
- Collaborate with military and non-military partners to ensure seamless delivery of occupational health services.
- Conduct medical assessments and provide expert advice on fitness for service, in accordance with medical policy.
- Registered medical practitioner on the GMC Specialist Register in Occupational Medicine, with a license to practice and in-date annual appraisal and re-validation.
- Proven experience in occupational medicine, with a strong understanding of GMC guidelines and medical policy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex medical information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services.
