Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Apprentice Care Navigator. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical centre.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare consulting rooms with clinical stationery, test requests, and sample bottles, following established protocols and checklists.
- Close down consultation rooms, secure the building, and perform daily tasks as required.
- Check pharmacy fridge temperatures, record temperatures, and take necessary actions to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
- Conduct weekly and monthly building checks, identifying and reporting any issues or concerns.
- Assist with fire safety procedures, including fire drills and emergency response.
- Reconcile evening appointments, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Provide exceptional patient care, navigating patients to the most suitable healthcare professionals and allocating appointments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external partners, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Manage patient correspondence, prescriptions, and other documents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Receive and process patient specimens, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to information governance requirements.
- Update noticeboards with patient information, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Resolve patient issues and concerns, escalating matters to management as necessary.
- Process new patient registrations and promote digital services and initiatives.
- Book appointments with clinical teams, ensuring patients receive the correct care.
- Manage home visit requests and emergency presentations.
- Ensure accurate and timely data input, maintaining patient records and appointment schedules.
- Undertake other general clerical duties as required, supporting the smooth operation of the medical centre.
- Smart appearance and professional demeanor.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Basic IT skills and ability to learn new systems.
- Good listening skills and attention to detail.
- Good standard of English language proficiency.
