We are partnering with a Local Authority in Liverpool to support the recruitment of a Children’s SEND Driver on a 3-month contract, potentially extendable at the client’s discretion. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £14 per hour

About the Role:

To safely transport departmental vehicles and ensure the safety of all passengers, both inside and outside the vehicle, as well as other road users.

Responsibilities:

  • Working part-time on split shifts during peak periods under the general direction and supervision of transport and other authorized officers.
  • To drive any vehicle (within their class of license) attached to the department and carry out all duties connected therewith in an efficient, economical, and orderly manner, including the safe transportation of fellow employees and authorized personnel.
  • To assist service users from their home to the vehicle, secure them safely during the journey, and assist them from the vehicle at their destination, ensuring their safe return home.
  • To implement and adhere to Risk Assessment control measures identified on the route runsheets.
  • To be always sympathetic and courteous to service users carried in the vehicle and treat their relatives with similar manner.

Requirements:

  • Full driving license.
  • Literacy skills.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the UK.
  • This role requires an enhanced DBS, and we will support you through your application.
