A beautiful 4-bedroom home in a lovely area where a group of young ladies live who each have high support needs. These ladies enjoy going out and about, including the cinema, zoo, and pub meals. One lady requires insulin administration, and we provide training for this. Driving is essential due to the remote location and limited public transport options. The ladies also have their own cars, which they drive manually.
We are seeking a flexible and passionate support worker to join our team. This role requires a caring and supportive individual who can help the ladies live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety. If you enjoy a challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
- Pay: £10.39-£11.42 p/h + £2.50 p/h overtime
- Shifts: 0700-1430, 1400-2200, and 2100-0700, with a requirement to work weekends
- Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours/week), part-time (22.5 hours/week), or bank (0 hours) contracts available
- Driving: Essential with a full driving license and willingness to drive our accessible vehicles
A support worker's day is varied, and flexibility is essential. You will provide individualized care and support to enable the ladies to achieve their goals and make choices about their lives. This includes personal care, participating in activities, and promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Night duties involve supporting night-time and morning activities, including personal care, domestic work, and responding promptly to provide support as needed. Additional cleaning duties and paperwork are also required.
What we offer:
- No social care experience required - we provide full training
- Weekend and overtime enhancements
- 30 days holiday + Bank Holidays, increasing with service
- Free membership of our Health Cash Back Scheme
