Children's Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Break Charity, working with young people in our residential children's homes. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young residents, helping them to overcome their past traumas and build trust with adults.
As a member of our team, you will work closely with a tight-knit group of colleagues to build strong relationships with the young people, providing emotional support and guidance to help them develop their own identity. You will be a positive role model, encouraging new experiences and helping the young people to develop their skills and confidence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and guidance to young people in our residential children's homes
- Build strong relationships with young people, helping them to develop trust and confidence
- Work closely with colleagues to provide a safe and nurturing environment for young people
- Encourage new experiences and help young people to develop their skills and confidence
- Support young people in overcoming their past traumas and building trust with adults
- Full, valid manual driving license
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (fully funded by Break Charity)
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide emotional support to young people
- Emotional intelligence and resilience to manage challenging situations
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
