Job Overview

Safer Hand Solutions is seeking a dedicated Health and Social Care Trainer to join our team in Maidstone.

This role involves delivering mandatory training modules for new and existing in-house care staff, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in Health and Social Care training, with a strong background in the care sector and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver High-Quality Training: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative training sessions to care staff, focusing on health and social care modules.
  2. Maintain Training Materials: They will also be required to complete relevant marking, follow-up administration, and compiling training paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  3. Collaborate with Colleagues: This role involves working closely with other branch trainers to ensure all training modules are up-to-date with any changes in legislation.
  4. Build Relationships: The trainer will help nurture and form long-term relationships with new and existing staff, supporting their continuing professional development and training.
  5. Liaise with Clients: They will liaise with existing and potential clients regarding their training needs, adapting their communication style depending on the trainees.
Requirements
  • A strong background in the care sector.
  • At least 2 years' experience in Health and Social Care training.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, as well as excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • RQF/PTLLS certification desirable.
  • Qualifications in Basic Food Hygiene; Health & Safety; COSHH; Mental Capacity/DOLs; Dementia; Moving and Handling (Theory & Practical), First Aid/BLS; Medication.
