About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Histopathologist to join our team at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Diagnostic and Molecular Pathology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert histopathological diagnosis and reporting for a wide range of specimens, including tissue samples and cytology slides.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new diagnostic techniques and protocols, ensuring that our services remain at the forefront of medical advances.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the department and trust to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Participate in the training and education of junior staff, including medical students and junior doctors, to ensure the continued development of our team.
Requirements
  • FRCPath or equivalent qualification.
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
  • On GMC specialist register or within 6 months of interview date.
