Job Title: Safeguarding Specialist Nurse for Adults

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Safeguarding Specialist Nurse for Adults to join our team at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Complex Discharge Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective discharge of patients from hospital.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and innovative nurse to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a Safeguarding Specialist Nurse for Adults, you will be responsible for supporting the Band 7 and Band 6 Complex Discharge Nurses in ensuring the timely completion of complex discharge assessments and service provision.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Support the Band 7 and Band 6 Complex Discharge Nurses in ensuring the timely completion of complex discharge assessments and service provision.
  2. Have an awareness of complex discharge, including continuing healthcare processes, end-of-life care, mental capacity, DOLS, safeguarding, and discharge to assess.
  3. Be confident in completing holistic, nursing needs-based assessments.

Person Specification

We are looking for a nurse with:

  • 3 years post-registration experience in an acute or community ward.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • NMC registration.
