Job Title: Information Governance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Governance Officer to join our team at NHS Arden & GEM CSU. As an Information Governance Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Information Governance Manager in the delivery of Information Governance Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and advice to teams and senior management on complex information governance issues.
  • Monitor and manage data protection incidents, breaches, and complaints, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to mitigate risks.
  • Assist with the production, collation, and systematic returns of evidence to support compliance with the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and performance reports against key performance indicators, evidencing IG compliance and progress.
  • Take responsibility for the preparation of correspondence and complex papers as directed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in information governance, preferably within the NHS or a healthcare setting.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in working with the DSPT (Data Security & Protection Toolkit).
  • Good understanding of data protection and wider information governance issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and advise staff at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Evidence of success in efficient and effective project management.
